I’ve always thought of Carl as an amiable fellow, and well versed in social situations. So, I had no hesitation introducing him to our granddaughter, Eden. At first, everything went as one would expect.
Fortunately, the incident resulted in no lasting injuries. Later, Carl shared his perspective, informing me that, in certain circles, nearly biting someone in half is a perfectly acceptable way to become acquainted.
Carl and Eden are now fast friends, so he may be right. But perhaps I’ll never be certain, as I’m much to shy to try the technique.
